The Retirement Advisor University; TRAU™
Announces
Open Enrollment
After nine months of planning and development, we are
proud to announce the commencement of open enrollment
for TRAU™, The Retirement Advisor University at
UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education.
The first on campus session will be conducted at
the UCLA Anderson Executive Education campus in
Los Angeles California
from September 29th –October 1st
and can seat 60 students.
The creation of
The Retirement Advisor University
at UCLA Anderson Executive Education is the result of an
unprecedented collaboration between UCLA Anderson Executive
Education, 401kExchange, a distinguished team of retirement
industry thought leaders, and a highly accomplished group of
retirement plan advisors. Together, this team of over fifty
Founding Lecturers will deliver a singularly unique
educational experience to advisors and other retirement
industry professionals who are seeking to distinguish
themselves in the defined contribution marketplace.
In case you missed previous
announcements regarding the formation of The Retirement
Advisor University at UCLA Executive Education, TRAU™ will
provide the first comprehensive retirement plan industry
certification program ever offered by a nationally
recognized institution of higher learning. TRAU™ offers a
complete program to train advisors with previous experience
ranging from novice to advanced, offering candidates the
opportunity to first earn a Certificate of Completion in
401k Core Competencies, and ultimately the C(k)P™ (Certified
401(k) Professional)
designation;
a certification that
recognizes both the completion of the TRAU educational
program, and significant practical retirement plan
management experience.
The curriculum is both comprehensive
and robust, taking approximately 1 to 2 years to complete
depending on the candidate’s prior experience in the
retirement plan management field.
Coursework is delivered
through a combination of instructor-led “on campus”
sessions, web-casts, a robust online learning platform,
group study, and social networking.
Ultimately, the goal of
The Retirement Advisor University
at UCLA Executive Education is two-fold: to equip the
retirement plan professional with the knowledge necessary to
positively impact outcomes for both plan sponsors and
participants, and provide a meaningful designation that
enables plan sponsors to identify a professional with those
capabilities when making a hiring decision.
